Read the dependency map
See how roles, skills and tools connect in your workspace.
The map draws your workspace as a living network: roles in the middle, the skills they carry around them, and the tools and MCP servers those skills reach at the edge. Use it to see what depends on what before you change or remove something.
Before you start
- You have the admin role in this workspace. The map is workspace-wide, so members don't see the Dependencies page.
- At least one role holds a published skill. An empty workspace draws an empty map.
Open the map
In the sidebar, under Governance, select Dependencies. The layout settles in front of you and lands the same way every time for the same workspace.
Narrow what is drawn
The toolbar carries one toggle per node type: Roles, Skills, Connectors, Tools. Switch off what you are not looking at. Search nodes highlights a node by name, and Focus picks a single role.
On the right, three filters count what needs cleaning up: Orphan tools no skill uses, Unused skills no role carries, and Disabled connectors. Click one to keep only what it counts. Usage 30d weights the edges by how often each was actually called.
Follow a chain of dependencies
Click a node. Everything that depends on it, and everything it depends on, swings onto rings around it while the rest of the map disappears. The bar under the map names the node and says what stops working without it.
Click into what appears and each click opens it while keeping the ones before it in view, so you can follow a chain without losing where you started. Click a node you already opened to close it: what only it revealed disappears, and the rings move to the last node you opened that is still open.
Press Escape or click the canvas to restore the whole map.
Open what you found
Double-click a node to open it in the product. Double-click an MCP server instead to expand or collapse the tools it exposes.
Check it worked
Orphan tools and Unused skills counting zero means everything you publish is wired to something. A count above zero is your cleanup list.
