Capabilities

Capabilities is the sidebar chapter that holds everything your workspace can do. It has three pages: Roles, Skills and Tools.

Roles are the view an agent gets. The Skills and Tools pages are the view you get: every skill and every tool, whatever role uses them. They answer questions the Roles page cannot: do you already have a skill for this, and which roles would a change to it affect.

How it relates

The Skills page lists every skill in the workspace, including the ones no role carries yet. A skill written for one role and reused by three others appears once here.

The Tools page lists every tool discovered from your installed MCP servers. Filter by server or by role to see what a role can actually reach.

What it contains

Both pages are working surfaces, not read-only inventories.

• Add Skill, on the Skills page, creates a skill from scratch, or brings one in: a featured skill, a community skill, a SKILL.md from a public GitHub repository, or an exported package.
• Add Tools, on the Tools page, installs an MCP server, from the featured catalog or from a URL you provide.
• Opening a skill takes you into its editor. Opening a tool shows its schema and lets you try it.

What it is not

Capabilities is not a public marketplace. What it lists is what your workspace holds, and the import flows are the only place outside content reaches it.

It is also not where MCP servers are governed. Adding one starts on the Tools page, but the servers themselves live in workspace settings, along with their credentials.
